Strawberry Yogurt Pops from Raw Milk

We have come to the conclusion that fresh milk from the farm is so much better for you than the store bought. The heath benefits are amazing.

Before we begin this, you need to know that it is illegal for farms to sell raw milk for human consumption in a lot of states. So if you are using raw milk, use at your own risk.

The milk we get is straight from the farm's milk tank. It is the best milk ever. It is from grass fed, pasture raised, non-GMO cows. So we know it does not contain any chemicals, hormones, and has the natural probiotics needs for healthy digestion.

I have decided to try my hand at making my own yogurt from this milk and fresh yogurt from a local creamery. I have found a recipe to try from Pinterest. I cut the recipe in half. I did not cut the vanilla in half though....OOPS. It tastes really yummy though. I tried the warm water bath and a towel but decided on the oven trick (set your oven to any temperature, leave on for only a minute, then turn off. I have also turned on my oven light, hopefully that will help maintain the temperature.

4 hours into the incubation process it is really starting to thicken up nicely. There is a little whey on top that will need to be drained off. I will give you uses for that in a later post.

The time is up for the yogurt, it should be done. Nope epic fail. It soured and didn't thicken up any more than it had at hour 4. I did end up being able to save it. I put it in a blender, added more of the yogurt I had purchased from creamery, some sugar (I didn't measure,I did it by taste), frozen strawberries (harvested from the summer), poured in all into individual popcicle makers and froze. My daughter loves her frozen strawberry yogurt pops.
